About BCTI

The Biblical Counseling Trust of India was set up by Dr.John .K. John in 2005 with the intention of training thousands of pastors and lay-leaders of churches, to enable them to bring solace and comfort to many people struggling with challenges of life in the 21st Century with an emphasis on issues related to purpose, identity, marriage, mental health & practical Christian lifestyle. The training was focused on North India and hence courses were initially started in Hindi, based on the Biblical Counseling model developed by the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation( CCEF) in Glenside, Philadelphia, USA. Currently BCTI offers the ‘Introduction to Biblical Counseling Certificate’ for those who have completed 4 modules namely: How people Change(HPC), Instruments in the Redeemer’s hands(IRH), Health and Healing(H&H) and Marriage and Parenting(MNP). All modules are now available over an interactive Zoom class held in Hindi & English. Besides the Zoom courses, CCEF’s courses are available online in English, with our own team of instructors available to guide students. Besides training in counselling, BCTI also offers counselling in English & Hindi to those who have various struggles. BCTI’s office is located in Dwarka, New Delhi.

Any Question About us

Biblical counselling is based on a Scriptural understanding of Human Behaviour derived from the Bible. Hence a focus on the heart from which ‘flows the issues of life’(Pro 4:23) A Biblical counsellor is a brother/sister in Christ who comes alongside you to help you in your struggles in life. Solutions will involve the Triune God of the Bible.
Psychological counselling is based on an understanding of human behaviour based on observational studies bereft of a spiritual focus. Hence solutions are hortizontal and do not involve the vertical dimension(relationship with God).
All of us spend between 5-8 years for our professional lives which may change after a few years, but hardly any time devoted to preparation for a lifetime commitment with your life-partner! BCTI offers personalized counselling/coaching to prepare you for this life-long commitment. Topics include God’s design for marriage, discovering your identity, dealing with differences, quality communication, managing conflicts, dealing with finances, in-laws etc.
Couples invariably face issues related to differences, communications, expectations etc after the honeymoon period is over. Parenting is another area where differences emerge. BCTI has experienced counsellors to help you in both areas of marriage and parenting.
